Good evening,

Believe it or not, the 1st quarter ends this Wednesday!  Grades should be posted early next week.  Just a reminder, NEHS does NOT send hard copies of report cards home.  You can view your child's progress in the Community Portal in Sapphire.  If your child failed a course, you should have been contacted by your child's teacher or your child's counselor.  Remember, you can view your child's progress throughout the year by accessing the Community Portal (grades should be updated every 2 weeks).  If you need a paper copy of your child's report card, please contact the high school office, and a copy can be mailed to you.  

Parent-teacher conferences are next Thursday, November 6th, and next Friday, November 7th.  The 6th and 7th are half-days for students.  Students will be in school in the morning, but the afternoon is reserved for conferences.  If you would like to schedule a conference with your child's teacher, please contact Mrs. Bement in the high school guidance office.  She can be contacted at 814-725-8671 x 1006 or abement@nesd1.org.  Teachers may also request a conference.  If this happens, your child's teacher or the front office will contact you soon to schedule a conference.  Finally, a parent-teacher conference is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for any SENIOR failing a course(s) required for graduation.
